The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a 13-digit number. It is a unique identifier for books and book-like products published internationally.
The International ISBN Agency in the UK coordinates all ISBN allotments. The National Library of Nigeria has been assigned as ISBN Agency in Nigeria. Please note only one (1) ISBN Agency is assigned in a country, therefore, any other agency or ISBN Issuance Centre in Nigeria is FAKE.
An ISBN is can not be reused once it has been assigned to a title.
A title that is published in different format requires a unique ISBN. For example, title available as a paperback and an eBook would need two different ISBNs.
